Series: The Incredible Jesus: A Study Through Mark's Gospel

Everything Jesus has done over the course of His ministry has led us to the point where He is under arrest and standing before Pilate for judgment. Those who observe His rejection, agonizing pain, and horrific mental and emotional abuse might be under the impression that surely this scene shows that God is truly not with this professed King of Israel, but this lesson is going to show that things are not always what they appear to be from our humanistic point of view. In fact, Jesus's suffering and subsequent resurreciton are all a part of finishing the work His Father had sent Him to do.
