Series: The Incredible Jesus: A Study Through Mark's Gospel

Throughout Mark's Gospel, the Pharisees have shown themselves to be constant thorns in the side of Jesus. They have questioned his authority, accused Him of being in league with demons, and now they are chiding His disciples. While much of this was probably done in hopes of discrediting Jesus, this text shows us where He flips these accusations back on the Pharisees. In this lesson, we will see how Jesus wants nothing to do with the false pretenses of religious devotion as was seen in the Pharisees. He desires for His followers to have hearts full of pure devotion to Him and His ways.
