Series: The Incredible Jesus: A Study Through Mark's Gospel

There are a number of caricatures of Jesus that are believed today. Some see Him as nothing more than a humanitarian and philanthropist. Others see Him as simply a good teacher who taught people how to be better people. However, Mark's Gospel paints for us a Biblical picture of Jesus that shows Him as being focused on preaching, teaching, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The miracles showed His incredible power, but the text of Mark 2:1-17 shows us that He was about so much more than that. This lesson examines this text in order to establish the true power and mission of Jesus while He was here on this earth.
