Though not a huge section of the book, the second and third chapters of Revelation are a key portion of the purpose behind why Jesus instructed John to write down was told to him and what he saw in the visions he received on the island of Patmos. The third of these seven messages was addressed to the church of Pergamum. This lesson looks at the compromising church of Pergamum, the words of commendation for their refusual to denounce Jesus, but also words of rebuke and admonishment for their allowing of the world and false teachers to have influence within the church.
