The letter that Paul wrote to the Romans is often said to be a difficult letter to understand, and this is often true because we are often very unfamiliar with the religious climate of that day and age. We don't have a worldview where the Law of Moses is present or has had great influence over the masses. Therefore, when Paul starts comparing and contrasting salvation in Christ to that which existed within the Law, we often get confused and have difficulty comprehending. This lesson takes a simple look at Paul's arguments concerning salvation in Christ through the first six chapters of Romans, and it specifically considers the teachings of Paul concerning baptism in the salvation process.
