I AM: The True Vine

As Jesus is preparing to endure great evil at the hands of godless men, He takes some time to prepare His closest disciples for the difficult days ahead. While He wants to encourage them, He also wants to strongly remind them of the place He must have within their lives. When Jesus declares Himself as "the true vine," He is making strong statements concerning what they would face, what He expects of them, and how they could live up to His expectations. This lesson looks at Jesus's final "I Am" statement in John's Gospel as we seek to understand what Jesus's wanted His Apostles to understand on that fateful night.
