If My Brother Sins Against Me...
One of the unfortunate consequences of being fallible creatures, is that we sometimes fail to live up to God's higher standards and we sin against one another. When this takes place, we somtimes might want to naturally respond to the evil done to us with further evil. However, the Apostle Paul instructs us that we are not to return evil with evil, but we are to overcome evil with good. So what is the good way in which we are respond to a situation in which sin has been committed against us? This lesson seeks to answer that question by considering the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 18:15-22.
