Service Denied

In John 13, we read of the awesome example of Jesus washing the feet of His disciples just prior to His betrayal and eventual death. This ultimate example of servitude should have been an occasion for appreciation and teaching, but instead the always outspoken Peter rejects this act of service from his Lord. Peter's message seemed pretty clear, "Your service is denied." This lesson looks at what might be the cause of such an attitude, what we can do to be better, and why we ought to always be willing to serve others and be served when the moment is right.
