Crossing The Rubicon
In the first century BC, Julius Caesar was an up and coming commander in the Roman Empire who had come into a good amount of influence and power. The Roman Senate didn't like this happening, so they sought to reign him in. At this point, Caesar had a choice. He could either concede or he could cross the Rubicon, the point of no return, and begin his ascent into power. History bears out his choice. His decision at the Rubicon is a good illustration for many decisions we make in this life. This lesson talks about some of the "Rubicons" that we could cross in this life, and some important Biblical teachings that can help us to approach these decisions in the wisest of ways.
