Jesus had many opportunities to use numerous Old Testament characters as examples of faith and obedience. Yet, when He decided to bring one to the mind of His own people who had reject Him, He decided to use the example of a Gentile. In Luke 4:27, Jesus brings to mind the example of Naaman the leper and how his faith and obedience to the prophet of God brought about a great result for him. This lesson considers the example of Naaman and how his story is a perfect case study for the process of obedience to God in the life of man.
