The Greater Sacrifice Of Jesus

In Matthew 9 Jesus makes a curious statement saying that no man born of woman is greater than John the Baptist. This in and of itself is not curious because John was the greatest of the prophets by being able to prepare the way for Jesus. However, He quickly adds that even the least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than John. How is it that this can be said? This lesson considers the fact that Jesus is greater than anything John every had the opportunity to experience, specifically His sacrfice was greater than anything John had under the Law of Moses.
