The Good News of Great Joy
It is that time of year again when the majority of the religious world focuses on the birth of Jesus. Many churches will observe special celebrations for the birth of Jesus. We, as a church, here at Pleasant Plains do not do this becuase we do not find authority to do so within the New Testament. However, we don't need to throw the baby out with the bathwater and ignore the birth of Jesus as if it is a bad thing. The birth of Christ was a most glorious day! This lesson looks at 3 very encouraging aspects of the birth of Christ, the good news of great joy, and we hope that it will be just that, an encouragement to the hearer. The blessings of the birth of Christ are not seasonal, so may be not simply confine it to a single time of the year.
