As Psalms 127:3 says, "children are a gift of the Lord." But I wonder... do we, as parents, see these "gifts" as precious souls that need to be saved? Or as extensions of ourselves that must excel in extracurricular activities, have good grades and hopefully have popularity? Parents have such a small window of opportunity to teach their children in the "training and admonition of the Lord"(Eph. 6:4). May we take every opportunity to put first things first (Mat. 6:33)!
