One of the main focuses of Jesus's conversation with the multitudes in Jerusalem was to show them the failure of those who sought to be their leaders. The Pharisees and other Jewish leaders had failed as the shepherds of Israel. We find Jesus in John 10:1-18, Jesus setting Himself up as the true door and good shepherd of His sheep. This lesson considers what it means about this world, Jesus, and ourselves when Jesus says that He is the door and the good shepherd.
