In Revelation 21:8, we find John giving a list of the different types of people who will find themselves experiencing the second death if they continue in this type of behavior without repenting. For the most part, these people will not have much to say as far as protesting their eternal fate. Those who kill, live immorally, and continually lie cannot expect to live in the presence of a holy God for all eternity. When they find themselves in hell, they will have to admit that this was to be expected. However, this lesson suggests that there might well be some people who find themselves in hell, and they will be extremely surprised. Who are these groups of people, and why will they be surprised?
